Votary began at the kitchen table of makeup artist, Arabella Preston.  Arabella started blending pure plant oils to cleanse her own skin, and to prep the skin of her high profile clients.  Thrilled by the transformative power of the cleansing and facial oils she made, she teamed up with friend, former colleague and serial entrepreneur Charlotte Semler to create Votary.

Votary products are packed with Eco Flo chips which are made from 100% genetically modified-free starch. Eco Flo is 100% biodegradable, fully compostable, low energy and dissolves in water. It is manufactured from annually renewable sources.

Votary use recyclable glass bottles which also work to preserve our luxurious oils from over-exposure to sunlight and heat.

Votary gift boxes are packed with recyclable shredded paper.

Carefully assess the quality of each ingredient that we use in our formulations. We use a combination of organic and non organic oils. Some oils are not available organically, or can be of inconsistent quality when organic. Votary select the best quality oils for the best possible result.

Ingredients

Apricot oil works to nourish and hydrate dry and mature skin whilst rose geranium oil tightens, brightens and removes dead skin cells.

The addition of sunflower seed oil is rich in Vitamin E and minimises redness and skin inflammation

How to Use

Put 2 to 3 pumps of oil into the palm of your hand. Spread between your palms and then apply to your face. Start with your cheeks, then your nose, mouth and jawline and finally the area around your eyes. Splash your face with warm water and continue to massage the oil into your face and eyelashes. Now here’s the absolutely crucial part. Take a clean flannel. Soak it in hand-hot water, wring it out, and put it over your face. Breathe in and allow the steam to penetrate your pores .

Then, gently wipe everything away. Repeat if necessary. To finish, splash your face with warm water and pat dry with a clean towel. Follow this with VOTARY Lemon & Neroli Toning Serum and a VOTARY Facial Oil

Cooling and refreshing on your skin, it leaves your skin more resilient and less reactive.

INGREDIENTS

Broccoli seed and rosehip oil deliver a natural lipid boost while hyaluronic acid increases hydration and plumps skin.  

Grape seed extract soothes reactive skin while natural and bio-engineered peptides boost skin’s natural defences by supporting lipid function and microbial balance.

Because we know that sensitive skin is – well – very sensitive, this serum is formulated to be free from fragrance and colour. Instead, the curated active ingredients mean that sensitive and irritated skin is soothed and improved. Skin feels fully hydrated and protected.

How to Use

Blemish Rescue

‘This little oil is a life-saver! Blemishes disappear much faster if you don’t dry them out. Instead, apply this blend of healing natural oils and salicylic acid. It stops blemishes getting sore and angry, helping skin recover quickly.’

Blemishes are small, localised infections. Treating them with harsh, drying chemicals doesn’t help them to heal. Instead, it triggers the formation of  thick, scaly skin. Infection is trapped, the cycle of healing takes longer, and scarring and skin discolouration are worse.

Treating a blemish with pure plant oils is logical. The oil instantly soaks into and softens the skin. The active ingredients can penetrate and get to work quickly.

2% salicylic acid dissolves compacted skin cells and penetrates deep into the pores. It takes with it tamanu oil, a natural, healing antiseptic.

Tamanu tackles redness, inflammation, and calms infection.

How To Use
