Definition of cruelty-free: not
tested on animals or sold in China. Brands that are not owned by a non
cruelty-free parent company have a * next to their name. Brands that are owned
by a non cruelty-free parent company have been included on this list, and have
the parent company listed next to their name. If I am not sure of the parent
company’s cruelty-free status, I have made a note of this.
Definition of vegan: product
does not contain any animal-derived ingredients, including beeswax, honey,
carmine (crushed beetles), lanolin (from wool), silk, amber-gris (whale vomit),
and some forms of hyaluronic acid and collagen
Some vegans will consider a cruelty-free brand
that uses animal derived products not free of cruelty, so please be mindful of
this!
What to
look out for on the box:
Beeswax is often found in balms, lipbalms,

Amber-gris can be found in
fragrances
Silk can be used in hair products, hair ties,
and false lashes

Cruelty-Free
Brands with all vegan products:
Make-up
We
currently have no make-up brands with only vegan products, however Hourglass
have pledged to go fully vegan in 2020. This means as new lines are added, they
will be vegan, so currently the new Micro brow pencils, Confession lipsticks
and Ghost collection are all 100% vegan.
